Description: The streams layer was initially created from coverages produced by L. Robert Kimball & Associates. The streams were digitized based upon 1998 and 1999 photography. They streams were digitized at the following scales: 1" = 50' in the city, 1" = 100' or 1" = 200' in the suburbs, and 1" = 400' in the least dense rural areas. The L. Robert Kimball & Associates stream data contained only the attribute titled "linetype code". The "name" attribute was added by the Berks County Mapping Department once the coverage file was converted to a shapefile. Between 2007-2012, the L. Robert Kimball & Associates data was edited by the Berks County Planning Commission using aerial imagery from April 2004 and the Spring of 2008. Additional attributes will continue to be added to this layer as needed.
